Whittington Castle Preservation Trust oversees the management of the remains of a Norman Castle, gatehouse, courtroom, moat, carpark and amenity land. The Castle is unique as an independent, community run historic building. The charity’s objective is to preserve for the benefit of the people of the parish of Whittington, Shropshire and the nation the historic, ecological, architectural and constructional heritage of Whittington Castle and its environment.

“Our mission is to build on our uniqueness by becoming a destination venue for north Shropshire tourists, a hub for our community and a haven for all humans and wildlife who visit or live with us. We will take pride in our Castle so that others are encouraged to do the same”
