The museum collection comprises scenes of Nantwich life in past centuries by the Nantwich artist, Herbert St John Jones; two paintings by unknown artists of two notable local figures; an eighteenth-century painting of a racehorse on Nantwich racecourse and a twentieth-century painting by a local artist of the town’s square. There is an artist’s impression of the sixteenth-century fire of Nantwich and buildings and people in Hospital Street and by the Crown hotel. The two local figures are the town’s first historian and a member of a prominent business family. The racecourse featured in the racehorse painting no longer exists.
