Located in historic Rotherhithe the Brunel Museum is on the site of the Thames Tunnel, the first tunnel under a navigable river anywhere in the world, and the only project which both famous Brunels (father Marc and son Isambard) worked on together. The Museum is run by volunteers under the guidance of the Director and the Board of Trustees.

“Our mission is to preserve and share widely the ground-breaking stories of the Thames Tunnel project and the outstanding achievements of the Brunel family and their relevance to our lives today. We inspire communities through exploration, learning and performance.”
