Ashford Borough Museum is located in the Church Yard, at the heart of Ashford’s Town Centre and features exhibits associated with Ashford’s history. The Museum was formed 30 years ago by a group committed to promoting the heritage of Ashford and remains an entirely volunteer run organisation. The building in which the Museum is housed was erected and endowed by Sir Norton Knatchbull of Mersham-le-Hatch in 1635 and continued as the Ashford Grammar School until a new school was opened in 1881.
