Archives of IT is a free-to-use, growing, online archive and museum of oral history and documents telling the story in the words of people who built and are building the industry that has transformed our lives over eight decades.

“While other collections collect and exhibit devices and technology, we focus on the people and sociology of the industry, its impact on society and the opportunities it presents.  So far, we have interviewed over 170 industry leaders and influencers and acquired company reports and newsletters that offer historical insight into key aspects of the industry. We want to capture this history before it disappears and while it is being made and raise awareness and understanding of the UK’s IT heritage.”
